Our promise: We take $0 from brands. Our reviews are never influenced by affiliate partnerships. All product testing is funded by our members.

How we use affiliate links

The Product Report is a participant in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click on links to retailers on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.

Editorial independence

Our editorial process is completely separate from our affiliate partnerships:

  • We purchase all products ourselves — we never accept free samples from brands.
  • Product ratings are based solely on our independent lab testing.
  • Affiliate relationships do not influence which products we test or how we rate them.
  • We include affiliate links for convenience, not to promote specific products.
  • Products with low scores still include purchase links for transparency.

Why we use affiliate links

Affiliate commissions help offset the cost of:

  • Laboratory testing fees (mass spectrometry, contaminant screening, etc.).
  • Purchasing products to test.
  • Maintaining and improving our website and mobile app.
  • Expanding testing coverage to more product categories.

However, the majority of our funding comes from members' subscriptions. This ensures our testing remains truly independent and not influenced by affiliate revenue.

How to identify affiliate links

On product pages, affiliate links are marked with an "(affiliate)" label next to the retailer name. We believe in full transparency about when we may earn a commission from your purchase.
